My new favorite primer is the Lancome 1 minute blur... my skin seriously feels soft as a baby's even the next day if I don't wear anything. After a week, my skin feels amazing. It is not natural but it does not break me out and I LOVE it. I know it is similar to the Lancome Base Pro, but this has the Visionairre serum in it so I only have to purchase one and not both the serum and the Base Pro. Plus I like the texture of this more than the Pro as well. It really does make my foundation ( Chanel Perfection Lumiere) go on very well. I use the Tarte brush for foundation and I only normally need one pump to do my entire face. I find this is a much better option for my aging skin than the benefit porefessional. Doesn't feel really heavy either.

Oh! I like the sound of that! I'm between primers and have been using samples and foils looking for a good one. So far the Guerlain one (pink bubbles) has been winning but I'll have to try the Lancôme one out.

I recently got a sample of the Hourglass Mineral Veil that I heard such rave reviews about, but I'm always down for trying new things.. I'm going to try and check out all of these mentioned now

Right now I use the HG Mineral Veil and it's good, but not quite holy grail good...

Love the Guerlain. I only wish we could get the gold one up here. I'm interested to see what the white one is like too. (up here? are you in Canada?)

You know, after using the HG Mineral Veil Primer for about a month or two on my deluxe samples, I've decided that......... it's not actually the best for my skin, I think. I have combination oily skin, and it gets extremely oily during the summer. Becca Ever-Matte has been making my skin look polished, amazing, and completely not-greasy all day, which I'm pleased about. I'll use up the rest of my samples before I decide what kind of primer I want to buy a full size for next.

I didn't know there was a white one. Uh oh. ... Just went and looked. I still think I would prefer the gold over the white. Especially with summer coming. I'm so fair to begin with I'm afraid I'd just look like something from Twilight with the white

I'm thinking of getting the Guerlain Meteorites primer to use under Guerlain's Lingerie de Peau foundation. If anyone has tried this primer, can you please let me know your thoughts?
Thanks!

Recently purchased the Hourglass Mineral Veil Primer and couldn't be happier with it. I was previously using the oil-free Smashbox primer, but find the Hourglass Primer to last longer.

Lots of folks love the HG one- I think I need a sample. I love it! I have seriously tried a million and think it is the best "all around" primer, good for almost anyone. HOWEVER, with that being said, if you have very specific skin concerns this "catch all" primer may not be the best one for you.

I have the Guerlain Meteorites in the sample size and it's really nice primer. Doesn't cover or minimize pores in anyway but it is very smooth. I would not say it is anything extraordinary and if you get it on sale it would be a good value. The balls in in are left when your primer is gone, so not too sure of the purpose. I have not tried the gold one though.

But I feel like, for me, it might not be worth the steep pricetag

Love the Guerlain. I only wish we could get the gold one up here. I'm in Ottawa. The Guerlain counter at the Bay Rideau Center has the gold primer. If you can't find it in London, perhaps they will ship it to you. I may be going this week so I can find out if they offer that if you order and pay on the phone. The manager is always super nice and generous with samples !

The manager is always super nice and generous with samples ! Is it the L'Or Radiance they have? www.thebay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/en/thebay/lor-radiance-concentrate-with-pure-gold-makeup-base-0024-65497729--24London has that one, but I'm looking for the Les Ors that I'd love to get my hands on. www.guerlain.com/int/en-int/makeup/face/make-bases/meteorites-perles-light-diffusing-primer-les-ors-pump-bottleI know what you mean about the staff. You always walk out of there with something extra. There's not really a dedicated Guerlain rep in London, so I've had Clarins or Dior staff helping. They're always pushing (in a nice way) their own brand and I find a handful of great samples in my bag afterwards. Samples that would be a 100 point perk at some other shopping establishments I won't mention. It works in their favour though. The Clarins lady threw in four different nice sized samples the first time I had her. I had never tried Clarins before and picked up the Lotus Oil on that visit. One of the samples worked out and when I went back to buy a mask, it was GWP time. I haven't even broken into the latest treats from that.
