I have the old meteorites, and when I go to open the lid, I shake it once gently to roll them around resulting in powder collecting in the bottom. I feel like I am abusing them... but I like it because I get more powder off them. Now some are smaller than others. Should I stop doing this? Does anyone else do this? Attachments:

Hey CJ, I don't really "shake" the container, I might give it a tiny nudge if balls of the same color are together. I have the old ones too, and they seem fairly uniform n size. I do have dust at the bottom of the container though.

I also have the old ones. I just got them in March. When I first opened it there was a lot of powder at the bottom, I'm guessing this is natural. Before I use them, I also give them a small nudge because my magic balls like to group together with their colour families lol :-P

I do the a variation of "the shake" mine is more like a flip upside down motion. I just recently started the flip because I had a fair bit of sediment and just like you this move using it up.
The balls getting smaller is a part of normal use that I've always noticed so I don't think it's part of the shake move.

I have the new ones, but I checked last night and there are already noticeable differences in ball size. I haven't even used them yet. So I think it's a natural phenomenon. I don't think you are a magic ball abuser.

Do I "need" the magic balls if I have HG lambing lighting stuff? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk They show up differently on my skin. I like to use the HG just under my eyes and cheekbones, but I put the magic balls all over. Are they different enough to buy them, yes. But I have the old ones, I haven't used the new ones. I have heard they give off more product.

I do the flipped not shaken method for mine. I always try and move a little of the extra loose powder back to the top for use.
Separate but magic ball related- I just got the teint dore old version ( I had the newer version ) and boy are they different in color! The new ones have beige, yellow, light pink, dark pink, purple, and tan where as the older ones have a lighter tan, dark tan, purple and blue. I was surprised to see that big of a difference.

They do offer a different glow than the ambient light powder IMO. They are not something I would wear together as that is going overboard. Some of us just collect them because they are limited edition or just plain pretty. That said, I am a huge enabler and so are most of us here...lol. Yes, You need them...

I have the sample of Claire from last month- I have two. I looked at them and they seem a little light; maybe the next color would work for me. I put myself on a spending maximum, which I've already met this month, so I will have to wait till June. I think I may get them.

mrsbaine yes get a sample of the other colours! I'm kind of surprised the promo code wasn't a selection of the shades which would have been better. I've read that the other shades are much improved over the older ones.

LOL. I'm the opposite. I don't like it when the jar looks dusty inside, so I always use the brush to wipe the cap, side, then the ball as I'm using so it looks clean (on top at least). Altho there is a bunch of loose powder on the bottom, especially for ones that had a long journey being shipped to me *cough* pucci *cough*.

I am close to your skintone and I got the Teint Beige (old version) and I can't really tell much on my skin. I think it would be great if you got the Dore because it will give your skin a nice healthy glow with the darker magic balls.

I want to get one in Dore... but I don't know which one I should get... what do you suggest? Edit- I meant the OLD Teint Dore and new Dore... lol.

I get pale in the winter so I can somewhat pull it off but not really. I hate returning things and it was too late to exchange for the old Teint Dore.
