Can I just say, I had an order cancelled by Ulta (posted this on the no-buy thread...I was cheating lol). This morning I woke up to a $10 e-gift card (I thought it was a joke or some spam had gone through) for the cancelled order. I thought that was pretty cool and unexpected. I think it was because an item was accidentally put on the website way too early, so they had to cancel the orders that people had placed.

Pretty great now they're beginning to fix the CS issues. Kinda.

I will take $10. lol.

I just can't with Ulta. Every store I've been into was like Ulta was Sephora's ghetto cousin. (I live in the ghetto, so I am familiar with the atmosphere! I shop at nice places to escape haha) Stuff all over the place, rude clerks. Nah.
Also, GWP but not with this or not with that, a nice % off but these good things are excluded blah blah blah too confusing for my pea brain.

I would rather go to Nordstrom, or Sephora then Ulta. There is just something about that place that is too drug store-ish... and I want the feeling of luxury.

Sometimes my husband comes along with me when I stop in to pick up some new pretty makeup things, and even HE commented (completely unprompted) that Ulta feels junky and he'd rather I go back to Sephora. LOL! Ok, hubby, sure thing!

LOL! Ok, hubby, sure thing! Too funny! My husband says something similiar; he believes Ulta feels "unfriendly" and not "not condusive to user experience". (Gotta love his words). he likes Sephora because he knows exactly where to go to look at men's stuff and the two Sephora's I go to have the mens fragrance on the same side of the store as the men's skincare. Makes it very easy for him, and me when he's there.

I am pleasantly surprised with Ulta lately. My orders ship within 24 hours from the time that I place them. Another thing that I believe may have helped is that my orders are now shipped from Harrisburg, PA. I usually receive my orders in approximately 3 days from the time I place them. My samples from Ulta never seem to be repeated. On the negative side, I find my local Ulta is not very well stocked. I went yesterday to purchase the Smashbox 24 Hour Eyeshadow Primer and they ran out of stock. I went home and placed my order online and already received my shipping notice.

I went yesterday to purchase the Smashbox 24 Hour Eyeshadow Primer and they ran out of stock. I went home and placed my order online and already received my shipping notice. During the Spring Days of Beauty, I placed six orders in seven days. All six had the same samples (a foundation that was way too dark was one). I gave away 5. One more to go. The order I placed on 08-24-14 did not arrive until 09-04-14. It was missing the samples despite being marked as there on the packing list. The wipes I paid for were dried out too. They are allegedly sending me new ones, but that was 11 days ago. I haven't received them. I guess you could say I have a love/hate relationship with Ulta. I love the deals. Hate some of the rest.
