Good Morning Palette Paraders! Hope everyone had a good first week. Was it easy? Did you learn anything about your palette? Anyone returning something? I moved on to the Chanel Vendome quad for this week.
Wanted to let you guys know, I ordered the Siren palette by Marc Jacobs. It probably won't get "paraded" during the week, but for sure on the weekend. I am pretty excited to try that out. I think I can do some fun looks! I do love the naturally pretty palette. I've just been out and about around water and only worked 2 days so I didn't get to try it out as much as I wanted. Once school starts back, I'll at least wear makeup 3x a week so I can try more pretties!

I think I can do some fun looks! Good morning! I wish I had had more time/less breakouts this week to be able to wear makeup. That said, I did learn a bit about The Siren. It can be toned down if I don't use a white base like I normally do, and if I just gently pat it on. Another thing, I need better lighting in my room because when I stepped outside, it definitely looked more vibrant than I wanted! Next time I experiment with it I want to get more creative by adding in colors from other palettes or singles. Definitely not returning it, it's really lovely and easy to blend. I'm glad you ordered it! I'm not huge on colorful eyeshadow because I'm always afraid of going bold, but this palette is a good way to start. I think you'll love it

I think I got in a solid 3 days of Afrique, however, two of the days I feel like were really similiar. I used Afrique 1, 2 and 5 as lid colors then different ones in the crease and as the V color. I can't wait to play with Siren. I think I can do some pretty color looks. I'll probably use the Naked Basics as a base though and use the color in the V and crease. Maybe do the outer third. This week, I'm using Chanel Vendome. It has 2 browns- one coppery and the other a deeper brown, a peachy pink color and then a more neutral beige. It's a quad, so I'm thinking maybe three days of different looks. I could live on the quad though; it's a solida one.

First time using KVD's Ladybird today! I really like how the colors go together. One or two shades weren't as easy to use but the rest were awesome. So pretty, can't wait to use it more

So pretty, can't wait to use it more Ooooo tell me how you achieved this!! Mine is coming in the mail! Sure!! Today was one of those rare days where somehow it all came together the way it was in my head. I feel like I finally stepped up my eyeshadow game a little after months of practice, lol! I was still slow though I used both TF Shadow Insurance and the NYX base in white, and let them dry a bit. Then I patted the shade third from the left (the grey shade) all over my lid, but left out the inner corner of my eye. Next I used a pencil brush (I use the Lancome brush #16) to do the outer corner with the navy shade, and drew a light line upwards, following the angle I'd follow if it was to go all the way up to the end of my eyebrow (if that makes sense). Don't go all the way up, maybe 2/3rds or 3/4ths of the way. I've heard that using tape can help you create a crisp edge, if that is what you are after! After that, I blended inwards to soften the edges. Then I used a fluffy blending/crease brush with the orange shade and did the crease. Blend everything together nicely at this point! Use the lightest shade (second from the left) to highlight under your brow and soften the edges of the blue and orange shades. Lastly, add the darker cream color (fifth from the left) to highlight your inner eye. Make sure everything is blended together nicely and clean up the outer edges of the blue if needed. When I made the wing with my eyeliner (it's UD's Crave btw), I made it follow the line of the blue eyeshadow. Phew! Sorry it was so long haha but that's how I did it. Hope it helps!

hey ladies! Here's the thread for the palette parade we're starting up. So far, here are the ladies who are participating: hackneyfl mk89 ittyxbittyxme sparklez sdbeautyjunkie1 chels
If I forgot someone, let me know!
Here are the guidelines: Each week, we will use 1 palette, quad or trio for 4 out of 7 days. (Some folks said 7 days was a lot). You can supplement with singles too. At the end of the week, rate the palette and share your favorite looks on this thread.
This should help us each get through all the eye shadows we buy.
If anyone wants to gsuggest additional guidelines, please feel free!!! You can also post your palette lists in the order you want to use them.
Have fun ladies!!! ok, here is my list, in order: YSL Afrique Chanel Vendome Chanel Eclosion YSL Saharienne Lancôme Bronze Amour MJ The Glam KVD Ladybird Chanel Prelude Tom Ford Orchid Haze UD Naked 1 Too Faced Chocolate Bar Marc Jacobs the Tease Bare Minerals the Rare Find It naturally Pretty UD Naked 2
Hey ladies! I' returned Ecolison and I'm on vacation this week in Florida. I'm going to bring Siren and Lancôme Azure.

Good Morning ladies! How'd we do last week? I used Vendome and I do love it! I love it so much, I retured Ecolsion which I only liked. No need to have similiar variations on the same thing- especially when they are $60 a pop! I have to look for my pics- I did a couple, but was binge erasing since I'm running out of space. I know I have some looks on BT on the What are you wearing thread, so I may need to go grab them to post here.
This week, I'm doing Siren mostly. I've done 1 look with it on Saturday and am excited to play around with it. I think it's going to be a fun palette. What did you guys do last week?
