I recently got the L'occitane fragrance booster lotion and I am trying to get my edt's to last longer. It does have a slight floral scent which I cannot place but it is supposed to be compatible with most fragrances. Has anyone else tried this or did I waste my money?

I haven't tried that specific lotion, but more than once I've been told that applying fragrance over lotion will make the fragrance last longer. I will often wear a matching lotion or just put on lotion that is fragrance free.

Also if you put vasoline before your perfume I've heard that helps as well

I always just mix whatever I have. Put a lotion on (with a scent I like) and spray perfume on top. I think it makes it unique. When I went into L'Occitane to get my latest EDT, the sales lady didn't seem impressed with that though haha.

The reason your fragrance fades (other than you getting used to the smell) is that your skin is soaking up the oil - many of the "tricks" to extending your perfume are merely hydrating your skin before you put on fragrance or putting a barrier between your skin and the fragrance (suggestions to spray your underclothes rather than your skin, putting perfume in your hair, wearing a scent locket, and so forth.)
Any lotion, especially one that's long-lasting, should extend your fragrance.

I feel like an oil diffuser when I do it, but I can usually smell what I was wearing the next morning.
