I have an oily t-zone and have tried Benefit, Hourglass and Smashbox. HG worked for about a month and now not so much!
Give me those HG primers ladies!

I love hourglass mineral primer, but I also love smashbox blemish control. I did use to use bare minerals but I really see a difference in it

I haven't tried HG yet. I'm trying to get through all of my deluxe minis and foils (getting a bit overwhelmed with having stuff everywhere), but it's on my list....
Benefit is doing ok on my nose and forehead, but not my chin. My foundation always breaks up around my chin

The Hourglass worked for me in the summer, but not so much in the winter. I ended up with the Guerlain (pink). I've really been enjoying it, but wonder what will happen when it gets warmer. IF it ever gets warmer. I have a feeling we're skipping straight to fall.

Thanks Ladies, yeah I have tried the 3 above that I listed and just isn't holding up to the Florida humidity these days, may have to look into the Guerlain (pink).

I got OC8 Mattifying Gel in my Birchbox several months ago, and it's the only Birchbox product I've purchased in full size. It worked miracles for a couple months and then stopped working. I wonder if it would work again now that I've given it a rest. Hmmm... Anyway, if anyone's interested, it's way less expensive on Amazon than Birchbox, and the OC8 website actually links you to Amazon for purchase.

Greasy J checking in!! lol! I am in Florida too... Orlando The Becca Ever-Matte primer is really awesome, but you have to be sure to warm it up in your hands before applying it.

Hey oily gals! I go through some oily periods. I'm in Louisiana….swampy! hot an humid for sure. When I am oily, my FAVORITE primer is the Givenchy Mister Mat. I find it works as well as the Becca Ever-Matte but much easier to use. I use Hourglass the rest of the year when I'm more combination than all together oily. I've tried Benefits Porefessional and like that one too.

I'm right above you in Jax! Before moving here (2 months ago) I didn't have oily skin. Maybe a slight accumulation around the nose in the late afternoons but certainly not greasy-slick. I've been trying (and spending a ton on) products - mattifiers, oil-control lotions, primers, blotting sheets, etc. It finally dawned on me earlier this week. A product I use every day and actually only costs pennies to use. Something breathable but won't clog the pores. Something that dries invisible but doesn't disappear as the day wears on. Ohhh! And also comes in fragrance choices or unscented...... Any guesses??? -------------------------------------------------------------------------- How about............ Secret Deodorant!!! Does it work? Yes, thanks to the aluminum-based compounds that absorb oils and perspiration from glandular production it allows for a drier result where applied. From a personal perspective - so far, it's working very well without disrupting my skin's pH balance, which means... no breakouts!! If any of you try it, please let me know your experience(s) good or bad.

Yep, the humidity is killing my make up this year! Here I thought I found the perfect primer using hourglass this winter (well we don't have winter in FL - LOL) but now that Mr Humidity is back it isn't working.

Not buying another primer before trying! Spent way to much at this point for nothing! The hourglass was good while we were in the 70's here and the humidity was a little lower but now not so good since humidity way back up!!

The only product that has made a notable difference for me with oil control is the Murad SPF 15 mattifier. The consistency is thick - it may turn some of you off - but I blend it in when my moisturizer is freshly... "moist" on my face if you will. I especially like to wear this on no make-up days since my skin tends to look greasier faster without the powder and primer! As for a primer - and I actually use this as a foundation - but the Tarte 12 Hour BB Primer is really nice - I have mild redness/red post-acne and just red acne bumps with some uneven skin tone - it covers all of that, and it helps somewhat with oil control. Or in reality, its the only "liquid" make up I can use on my face without it breaking down, so it gets major points for that. Otherwise I can't wear liquid foundation it always breaks down even Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24 hour and EL Double Wear - my skin eats it up

I have super oily skin, plus, I live in Brazil. The best primer I've ever used isn't actually a primer, but it's the best that I have! I've tried benefit, mac, senhora and... nothing. Oh! It's the Monistat chafing relief powder - gel. I'm using it for a year, I guess, and I love, love, love! Plus, it's like 7 dollars and it'll last a year or maybe more! Using tapatalk
