Please share all your best tips, tricks and tutorials for false lashes. I have been trying for ever to get falsies figured out and I fail epically. Nothing seems to help so far. There are some really cool ones that I would love to add to my over the top looks I like to do, but I cannot master them for the life of me. I only successfully wore them 1 time, for Halloween and it took me ALMOST AN HOUR to get them on. Yea I'm that bad. Any and all advice is appreciated.

OMG!! I absolutely love wearing falsies! They can make you take over the world!!!
My tips: wait and let the glue dry some before applying, don't put them to close to your inner eye (or it will annoy you when you blink)
I use Ardell because I can pick them up locally, they aren't to expensive and I use duo lash glue. I have the white and black and either works just fine. I will note that if my eyes water (and they do frequently) and a bit gets on the inner corner, then the glue stays tacky and will annoy the mess out of me until I can take them off. So if it is allergy season or I know I may get misty I will not wear them that day. These tutorials are great- I love listening to Lisa's accent and Emily is so down to earth and easy to watch. Kandie J also has some great tutorials- thats who I learned from!

calamityjane those videos are awesome. I just bought a few pairs of falsies for the first time recently and have been meaning to try them out, but had been a little apprehensive about applying them . What kind of Ardell ones do you use? One of my best friends wears their single lashes religiously.

The most important thing I always make sure they have is that thin clear band. I simply can not wear the ones with the thick black band.

I tried out Urban Decay's last night and they have a pretty thick black band and it took me 4-5 times to get them right so I can definitely understand now that. I'll look have to look into those.

I came across a tip one time that intrigued me, but I haven't tried it yet. The tip is to apply the eyelash glue to your upper eyelid (like eyeliner) instead of to the falsies. You can use a very fine pointed liner brush for this. The idea is that then the placement is much easier, as the glue is in the right place. Has anyone tried this? How did it work out for you?

Wait, WHEN are the occasions you would wear falsies? I can't imagine wearing them to work, but maybe out for dinner or something...

I wear them all the time! I wear them to the store, errands, fancy nights out- whenever I feel like stepping it up. But I don't wear them to church or late night ( I rub and mess with my eyes late night) I wore the purple pair up there ^^ to town just to go pick up a few things

Ok, today was my first attempt at wearing falsies and I could not have done it without the help on this thread!! I have a few selections stocked up and put a few on my eye without glue to see if I would get a natural look. Ummmm, nope. I have a super small head (XS women's motorcycle helmet) and I think my eyes are small too. I know I can cut the lashes so they fit side to side, but they all seemed pretty darn long on me! I was able to put a pair on for a little while without glue, just from the tackiness of being in the box. They were super thick and lush, I would have to go smoky and dark to pull off that look. Next time I will try some others that are a bit more subtle. But it was fun anyway. I went to see my honey who was working in the yard to see if he noticed. He did and said that when I blinked he could feel the air stirring. He's not as funny as he thinks he is.
