I've used SB primers for years- even before my crazy makeup addiction. So many people talk about HG's primer. It's about $10 more expensive; is it better? $10 more better? There is nothing wrong with the Smashbox, in true addict style, I have to see if there's so etching better.

the smashbox primer didn't work for me. i got the green tint one because i have massive redness in my face but it just didn't work. it made my skin look patchy and emphasized my dry patches. i like the hourglass primer but it's not my HG!

I want something that will hydrate too. The blemish one was helping with the occasional breakout, but I'm curious about Hourglass. What's your HG?

I love the HG primer. I use it for when I'll be doing photographs because it seems to make my foundation look flawless! For longevity though, I quite like Cover FX Skinprep Serum and Primer. It glides on smooth, barely takes any to get it everywhere and it makes my makeup last forever! It is the only primer that I use that, after washing my makeup off at the end of the day, doesn't leave me feeling like I need to use a mask to really deep clean. It feels like it's nourishing my skin all day, and my combination/oily skin stays matte, and my dry patches feel hydrated.

I used the sample of porefessional once or twice... I think it was ok. I remember if being drying for me. I need to dig that out again. @brenna, I've never tried cover fx. Someone else told me they were a good brand I should consider. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
