So I was having some fun this morning and decided to try Tightlining for the first time. I had two different liners above my lash line already, then used UD Perversion to tightline. I loved how it looked but as I was on my way to my destination (for half the day, ugh!) my eyes were stinging and super irritated! Bad call on my part, and one reason why I experiment on weekends, usually when I'm just going to be home and not going anywhere. My eyes watered enough that most of it kind of worked its way out I guess and I was much better a few hours later.
I stopped by SiJCP and mentioned it to the girls there, turns out one of them cannot tightline with perversion either, she has the same reaction! She can use Zero just fine, she thought maybe it has to do with the ingredients.
Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has heard of or experienced this? I did try something else new today but even after I've cleaned off all my eye makeup my eyes are buring again, ugh! I don't plan to tightline again until my eyes feel better, but if others know about this I will feel more inclined to think it was the UD Perversion as opposed to the other liner. (Which did not go on my waterlines.)

I recall reading on BT that UD pencils don't really work for tightlining. The key is to look for a kohl pencil, if I recall correctly.

katief241981 the liquid one? I don't know if I could tightline with that... I do have it and the Stila smudge sticks too.

I don't do much tightlining and don't reach for Perversion much at all. Zero works ok but transfers onto my lower waterline. For my upper lash line, I like that 3 way one that Too Faced makes. You can get between the lashes and do the tightline at the same time. Also just bought the It Cosmetics tightline mascara. I don't think it really does much for the actual tightline, but works well as a primer.

Really appreciate the input! But did anyone else have burning eyes when they tried it? Just curious.

I have seen a few people on YouTube mention that the new velvet formula is terrible for eye irritation as well.

I can't tightline with Perversion either: it gets everywhere. For a waterproof formula, Perversion is absolutely horrible at the job. No eye irritation though, just poor performance.
I use Zero, Black Velvet and even Crave for tightlining and they're rather good, though the pencils are so soft that I find using a brush helps.
