I tried BLISS Poetic Waxing on bikini line. Let me tell you I have never done waxing in the nether regions. And all I can say is yes that was me you heard screaming a few days ago. You all must have heard it. Good grief.

You all must have heard it. Good grief. The first time (I get Brazilians done professionally) is the most painful. I actually bled a bit. But after a few, it doesn't hurt and it really slows growth. My waxer told me I had to come less often (I usually go once a month regularly) because it was getting harder to pull my hair out since it was so short. The ingrowns suck sometimes though.

This was super funny to read!!!! Waxing isn't the most comfortable of activities; I find it's best to shave first, then wax. Don't just go balls out. That will KILL. I also use an after wax gel- Cool Fix, to help with the pain. And taking an Advil 30-60 minutes before it's a horrible idea. Anytime I get a brazillian its what I have to do.

I just went balls out, and man did I pay for it! I mean, it worked, but the pain was awful!

Kudos to you!
I've been getting Brazilian waxes for about 12 years now, and it seems to be totally different when someone else does it compared to when I've tried it.
I could sleep through a professional wax vs. when I do it on my own, it stings a lot more.
P.S. I find that when I do it on my own, if I press down gently on the area immediately after, the sting subsides much faster.

I've heard horror stories of women getting a Brazilian for the first time just before their wedding. That's probably an area that you want to leave alone, so it's um... okay for the wedding night

Congrats on your wedding heartsmyface! Very exciting! Yeah, I wouldn't do something like this for the first time right before your wedding. That's asking for issues.

I purchased a package deal on Groupon for six Brazilian Bikini waxes and paid 76.00. Our weather has been too cool so I am holding off redeeming the package. I did not find this to be too painful but I lost count of how many years I have been doing this. I always said if I move to a warmer climate I would have to consider laser hair removal. Another theory I have is if a person has a lot of hair on their head is that they are hairy all over. In my case I feel it applies.

I tried to wax myself once and it was horrific lol. I got a brazillian once and it hurt a lot but worked great. The hair grows much slower after so, I think follow up waxes would be much less painful. Now I just shave occasionally. I don't really care too much.

I redeemed my Groupon yesterday and my estotician used sugar wax. I found that is caused minimal pain. She took a large ball of wax to wax each area. No strips were used and I was told that regrowth would be slower. Also, I was told that ingrown hair would not be a problem.

But I love my waxing. Am I weird for saying I like soft wax (waxing with strips) over hard wax? (Stripless wax)
