I have a pimple coming up on my chin, but it is one of those sore ones that you know will never really pop up or puss. (Sorry) Is there anything I can do to make it hurt less while I wait it out?

You can apply a warm compress to help bring it to a head more quickly and relieve the pain some!

You can also apply a drawing salve like Prids to make it come out to a head. I hope it gets better!

Urbie is right. The hot compress will make it feel better. I also use a drop of tea tree oil too at night to help dry it out. Caution, it smells horrid, but it works!

I know it is kooky but I actually like the smell of tea tree oil! I've never tried it on a pimple...will have to do that.

I'm dealing with a supersized cyst at the moment. As soon as I feel it coming up under the surface I start applying Mario Badescu's Buffering Lotion twice a day. Also every evening I spot apply a mud mask (Glamglow Supermud or Wei) and let it sit for a couple of hours while I read or watch tv. This typically prevents it from completely forming and after a couple of days it stops being tender and starts to subside.

The two products that I've found to work really well for me, especially if applied while the pimple is still under the skin, are the La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo and the Kiehl's Acne Blemish Control Daily Skin-Clearing Treatment. They are both salicylic acid based, and that's what seems to work best for me. Good luck!
