So I have 2 bronzes- a UD Gilded gold one, which I use as a highlighter, and the Too Faced Chocolate Soilel which I used to use as a contour. Lately I haven't worn any bronzer because I've been contouring. Do you guys only use bronzer if you're not contouring, or do you somehow layer it? Anyone have some before/ after pics? And, any bronzer suggestions? I've already been enabled a bit by the new Guerlan Terra Tropica' Terracotta Bronzing Powder. It's not available, but I have it on my radar. Would love to hear how you ladies do it!

This is a great question! I don't do contouring per se, but I do put the bronzer in that triangle on the cheek and then above my temples. I don't mess with my nose area. I put whatever's remaining on my brush on my mustache area, which is a trick I got from one YouTube MUA who said that some people forget this area and have a white mustache there. I realize there's supposed to be a difference between contouring and bronzing, but when I research, it seems that the areas (other than mustache) where I apply it seem to be okay for contouring and bronzing. I do think some people may go further up the cheeks for bronzing, perhaps using it in place of blush, but since I use blush, I stay in that triangle area below. Maybe I'm doing it wrong. I try to not use that much so it looks natural just in case.

The way to use bronzer, just to achieve a more tanned complexion, is to sweep the bronzer over areas the light naturally hits. So across cheeks. forehead, nose and chin, to add the bit of color you normally get from the sun. This is where bronzer that have a bit of glow or shimmer play a part, they give that healthy bit of glow and color. But you can definitely just use a matte bronzer (especially if you are oily, and have a "natural glow")

Thanks ladies! I can't see myself using bronzer if I am contouring and highlighting. It just feels like it may be too much. The HG Radiant light used as a highlight may be enough. I used the guilded one by UD and it gave me a subtle glow. Is the Meteorites like this?
