I'm looking for thoughts and tips on what to do with my eyebrows. Usually I just leave them alone completely. I'm not brave enough for threading or anything like that I don't think, but what kind of makeup tricks and products do you use? What would you avoid? To give you an idea, this is what they look like normally. They're also partially hidden behind glasses most of the time, but I'm still wondering if it might be worth the hassle of messing with them!

I personally pluck . Threading is awful...it hurt so bad plus they changed the shape. I left crying. You should definitely fill them because it really does make a huge difference. I used to not fill them in but once I started I cannot go anywhere without filling them in. I use Anastasia brow wiz pencil and love it! Another tip is fill them in what shape you like then pluck the hairs not in that shape! If you are unsure how to shape them, you can buy stencils!

Chels gave great advice. I would not pluck them to much, just the stray ones that are way out of line. Everyones brows have their own shape and personality so don't try to copy someone else's, just shape what you have. I would try brow wiz in taupe or dip brow in blonde. I think even though you wear glasses it makes a difference. Its like putting curtains on windows, it makes the biggest difference!

Thanks! I think I'll try filling them in lightly to start... Baby steps?

If you've never used a brow product before I suggest trying Benefit Gimme Brow or Diorshow Brow Styler. They're both practically fool proof and very natural looking.

If you're not wanting to venture into shaping through hair removal (waxing, plucking, threading, depilatory creams, etc.) I would suggest venturing into using a brow pencil or even a little gel. Your brows aren't unruly by any means so there's not much "taming" that needs to be done so no worries there. Since your brows are lighter you can use just a touch of color to really make a difference and not have to worry about stray hairs jutting out too much either. Smashbox's Brow Tech To Go in Taupe would be a great option, the pencil end is retractable (no sharpening/no waste) and stays at an angled tip for precise application while it also comes with a clear brow gel as well if you want to use either end or both together. The pencil is waterproof so there are no worries about brows fading or melting in summer heat. Anastasia's Brow Wiz in Taupe is another option to check out as the fine, thin tip allows for very detailed application to where you don't have to worry about applying product too heavily. The opposite end is a clean spoolie to help comb through hairs and blend down product if needed. To help hide hairs under the filled in brow and to help give more emphasis to the brow itself, try a highlighting pencil (Benefit and Anastasia make great ones in matte and luminous finishes). The creamy nature of these pencils help cover up strays a bit and gives a great "lifted" look to brows while helping to perk up eyes.

Now for what is probably a silly question - what would you do with a clear brow gel?

brow gel is like hairspray for your brows. It keeps them in place and seals in those crazy ones that poke out. there is clear and tinted versions

What Lylysa said. I have super dark brows & never thought about filling them in at all until I went or a makeover with a friend. The MUA filled in one brow & had me look in the mirror - it was such a difference. It make my face look finished & put together. Now I've upgraded to the ABH Dipbrow because of Kiki1517's numerous posts on BT. As for the shape, I had mine waxed to clean up the shape and get rid of the strays & then it was much easier to pluck to keep the shape. I will say that one tip that helps now is that I'll pluck stray hairs after I fill in my brows. Any hairs that fall outside my shape get taken out. This way I don't worry about overplucking.

Everyone gave you really good advice. Just pluck outside the lines and either keep somewhat minimal (with some powder or gel, although don't go nuts with the gels like Dip Brow), or go a little more groomed/filled in. I agree with chels about the threading; I made mistake of getting my brows threaded for the first time ever the day before my wedding, and got redness and weird bumps on my wedding day!

That sounds like a nightmare! I'm kind of glad I'm too afraid to try it now!
