I'm curious to know what you ladies use in terms of hair treatments. I just got my roots done today and my stylist and I were talking about various at home treatments. One of my favorites is Redken's Extreme CAT. It's a restructuring treatment that I've found to really strengthen my hair and prevent breakage.

I recently got one from Sally's. I have super damaged hair from heat on hair without protectant (If only I could go back 8 years) but it is called Ion Effective Care Treatment and I can DEFINITELY tell a difference. Plus, its only like 15 bucks for a liter! I don't try masks that often, but I think this is a great one killah!

I'm a total hair product whore! Lately I've been going through the Alterna line. There's a mask that little bubbles in it that pop open when you put it on. I may crush them in my hand for fun. Oh yeah, it works nicely too I like using the moisture shampoo and conditioner once and a while but it's too much for every time for my fine hair. I also have the overnight Alterna treatment and I'm unsure if it does anything but one odd thing is that the next morning my hair is super volumized rather than weighed down by it. Which is the opposite of any other overnight treatment I've ever used.

I use Ojon's Rare Blend Deep Conditioner- it is really awesome, although I only use it once or twice a month. It kind of smells like cupcakes or something desserty as an added bonus. It works best if the rest of your hair care is sulfate free also.

My hair is long, dry, and very fine so I try to hydrate and strengthen it with my treatments. Yesterday I was working from home so I put lots of coconut oil in my hair, braided it, and pined it up. Then I left it in all day and when I took a shower last night I used the Carol's Daughter monoi strengthening mask instead of conditioner. Today my hair is awesome!

Plain ol' coconut oil is one of my favorite deep conditioning treatments. I soak my hair in it then wrap up in a bun (best to wear an old t shirt or tank top for this). Spend the day at home, chilling or whatever you like to do and shampoo it out at the end of the day. Works wonders. My favorite post shower hair treatment is Triple Moon Hair Anointing Oil made by the lovely Nightblooming. You can get it here here, from her Etsy shop. I have a lot of hair (very thick and down to my bum) and the 4oz bottle lasts me a loooooong time. Her Panacea Hair Salve is great too! Pretty much everything she makes is good stuff, though I haven't got to try some of her newer products yet.

It wasn't until recently that I started really caring about my hair. I've been doing no 'poo for the last 10 years at least, and I just grab a big bottle of conditioner, use it in the shower every two days or so and blow dry/straighten as usual. It wasn't until I realized that...Hey...I spend hundreds of dollars on stuff for my face, WHY am I not doing this for my hair too?! That I started purchasing and experimenting with fun new things. Right now I really love the Agave hair oil, but while I'm out, I'm using a couple of samples of the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser's Invisible Oil. Then I use the B&B Blow Dry Straight. For conditioner, I've stopped purchasing at the drugstore and now use the Drybar Sake Bomb conditioner, which is amazing because not only do I only need a tiny amount to really work through my hair, but it has such a light, gentle fragrance that the other products I use don't get overpowered by it! I've noticed since I started taking better care of my hair (I also dyed it back to its natural brown shade, and I plan on staying natural until all the dyed parts grow out) my hair has grown faster, looks thicker and shinier, and holds styles much better than it ever used to. I can't wait to read all the different info people have on what they use, because I'm still a baby when it comes to hair care, and I'm itching to learn all I can!

My favorite is the Hair Chemist Coconut Oil Deep Repair Masque. I get my hair coloured every 5 weeks or so, and I find this mask keeps it in good shape, and it smells delicious!

We should avoid use of harsh chemicals for coloring, bleaching, and dyeing our hairs. This makes our hairs brittle and causes hair loss. You should use nature based products.

My hair is thick and full of kinky coily curls so the words 'a small amount' and 'my hair' never go in the same sentence together.
To detangle my hair before I wash I simply put coconut oil and argan oil in my hair, put on a plastic shower cap for 15 minutes to an hour and just let it sit. Once it's all done I detangle with a Denman brush. If I'm super lazy I just hop in the shower, use As I Am Coconut Cowash on my hair and detangle while it's sitting. I know a lot of people and place say to never brush your hair dry, but if you tried that trick on my hair you wouldn't get anywhere. After I Cowash I use the Mixed Chicks Deep Conditioner (I just recently bought it but I love the stuff) and sit with it for an hour with no heat, if I do use a hair dryer I sit under it for 30 minutes on medium heat. After that I apply Miss Jessie's Leave in Condish (I'm not loving it, but it's ok) and section and style my hair from there.

i have a couple of favorites depending on the issue I have. For a deep conditioning, I'm using Carols Daughter hair mask.. I had a bad relaxer from a different stylist about a year ago, and have been using a protein treatment to rebuild and strengthen my hair. It's by Aphogee. I love it. I also use a hair serum whenever I blow dry.

Massage your hair with a mixture of coconut oil and lemon.
