Hey gals ... Quick question for you. For the Back to MAC program, do you need to go to a pro store or will they do it in The Bay (Canada)? I have so much stuff, it's rare for me to get through many products. So I've actually never been able to take my empties in for a freebie. Cleaning out my cupboard the other day, I found a stash of enough empty packages to take back. At first, I thought one of the lipsticks was another brand, but it's just so old that it's a different style of packaging It has to be at least 15 years old

I believe you can take it to the MAC counter at The Bay as well. I think the difference is that taking it to a freestanding store will give you the option to exchange your empties for a shadow or a lipstick, whereas The Bay will only exchange for a lipstick. I haven't actually done either one myself yet, but I have quite a few that I'm looking to bring back soon! Let us know what you get!

Wow I didn't know you could exchange it for a shadow too! That totally changes things and opens up the already infinite possibilities!!

I know that in Montréal The Bay downtown doesn`t take anything back but Oglivy`s does.

I took them back to the counter in The Bay. No problems at all. She said, "Whoa! Those ARE old!" I had three silver lipstick tubes and one super old black one ... not a bullet shape, as well as two eye shadows. I didn't even think to ask about eye shadow as an exchange. I was looking for Syrup. Beautiful Also wanted some of the Aquatic collection eye shadows. Hahahahaha!!!! Good friggin' luck in London. She said they sold out in the first few days. I'll have to be more on the ball next time I want something limited edition.

tayvm Syrup is so pretty! Glad you could exchange with no problem! and yes, MAC limited edition collections are very frustrating for that!

Can you bring something back that still has product in it? I guess I need to look up the guidelines.

My lipsticks weren't cleaned out. Are they supposed to be? Now I feel bad. I never even thought.

I don't think it matters if it's empty or not. I've never been able to find clear guidelines. If anyone knows, send a link please!

I don't know if anyone has answered this already, but I went to MAC the other day to get the mineralize skinfinish (woe is me, they raised the price ) but the girl said that you can bring products back for the program when you're done with them even if there's still product left in them! I thought that was pretty awesome.
