I know that this has been asked a hundred times before, but given that new palettes are always coming out, it doesn't hurt to ask again, and I'm curious to see what everyone's favourites are!
If you could only bring one eyeshadow palette with you on a vacation, which would it be?
Ideally, I'd like to bring one palette with some neutral/everyday shadows, but also some pops of colour, in case I feel like adding that in. It doesn't have to be an all in one palette (I don't mind bringing liner/blush/lipstick, etc. separately).

Also, sparklez do I need the MJ palette? I am so in love with the packaging and swatches I've done of those palettes, but am having a tough time a) picking just one and b) justifying the price. Maybe it will be what I buy on vacation at the US price

When I went on vacation for 10 days in March, I took my Shashbox Hazel Eyes palette, and the Naked Basics palette.... then I bought some singles at Duty Free in the airport.... So clearly, getting it to 1 is near impossible for me too. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the MJ Tease Palette. I used it yesterday. You can do a weeks worth of Purple looks from that. Don't limit yourself; take what you think you'll use. If you do limit yourself, you'll just wish you'd brought something else.

I love the Chocolate Bar palette too!
I have been using it more than all 3 of my Naked palettes.
I guess if I had to choose I would bring the Too faced My Favourite Things palette and the Chocolate bar palette...lol I could never just bring one!

As I was just on vacation I can tell you what I brought The only palette I brought was the Theodora palette, except mine has Sin and Last Call replacing the two duos from the original palette. But since I was away for a long time I allowed myself to also bring some cream shadows and Nars Kauai On my trip I also bought the Bare Minerals The Star Treatment palette, which ended up being the most used palette as it works very well with my eyes.

Easy...Urban Decay Shattered Face Case. very portable, has the blush and highlighter, room for small brushes/eyeliner, and a number of looks possible from the gorgeous eyeshadows. I actually want to bring mine to work for emergencies but don't want to be without it!!

katelovesysl, mrsbaine, chels, You are making a very strong case for the chocolate palette...I think I need to go by a Sephora later and play with it again! mrsbaine - I love purples, and the MJ palette looks beautiful!...maybe it will be my "souvenir" from my vacation! (since cheaper in the US than here in Canada) sydbristow - I have a confession....I have the Shattered Face Case...I picked it up on sale months ago and I haven't used it at all yet! Maybe this is the perfect excuse to force myself to use it. I love the colours and the compact-ness of it, so it's a great option! And I know what you mean about not wanting to leave something at work and be without it! But I realized that I used to have a drawer of makeup at work that I never used anyway, so now it stays safe at home kenny - That's a great idea! I really like my Theodora palette and don't play with it enough. (I also love your replacement choices!) Maybe that (or another neutral) and Kauai, for some colour! Also, I just looked at Temptalia's swatches of the BM palette and now it's on my wishlist....lol

Hi! I'd normally bring my Naked 1 palette since it works for everything, but if I wanted something less bulky, I recently picked up Stila's The Natural Palette (at Ulta). The shades aren't quite as pigmented, but it's a gorgeous palette! For a pop of color, I'd switch out my naked palette for my Kat Von D Ludwig palette-gotta love a nice olive green

Wait you WANT me to pick one? *goes and buys a large Z palette to fill with Mac pans* See I'm smart! That's all 1 palette, technically speaking!

I hate making this decision every time I travel! I'm terrified to fly with my nicer palettes in case they crack (I've had a bad experience, thankfully with a cheap quad!) so I usually take a couple small, durable options, like the shimmer cubes from the Body Shop. I'm more willing to take better products on road trips.
I'm not particularly adventurous with color so a lot of my palettes are neutrals. If I wanted something with more variety though I'd definitely take the Too Faced Chocolate Bar (as if you needed more votes for that!)
