I hate making this decision every time I travel! I'm terrified to fly with my nicer palettes in case they crack (I've had a bad experience, thankfully with a cheap quad!) so I usually take a couple small, durable options, like the shimmer cubes from the Body Shop. I'm more willing to take better products on road trips. I'm not particularly adventurous with color so a lot of my palettes are neutrals. If I wanted something with more variety though I'd definitely take the Too Faced Chocolate Bar (as if you needed more votes for that!) Ohhhh which shimmer cubes do you recommend?..not just for travel...for life, lol I've been hearing good things and wanted to try them out I love them. In my experience they blend well and have just the perfect subtle shimmer, though they fall kind of middle-of-the-line I think in terms of pigment. The ones I use are Chocolate Box and Pretty in Pink. I'm eyeing the new Spring Bronze, especially since you can remove each cube from the box and mix things up - some of those colors would be fun mixed with Chocolate Box! I also own the Green Light cubes but haven't even unwrapped them. They're sooo pretty but they might be better off in a TBB than sitting in my drawer...

tehprincessjenn - My large Z-palette with MAC singles is winning the competition right now...great minds think alike My MAC singles don't stay very well in the Z palette, it's like the magnet isn't working or something. I can always tell when I use a MAC one because it moves. How do you get yours to stay?

I bought the Givenchy Couture Cream Eyeshadows in four colors and love them! They glide on easily, are buildable in color and do not crease. The pigment is amazing. Vacations for me and the family usually involves water and it helps that these shadows are also waterproof. Have fun wherever you go!

Hmm, probably Lorac Pro! I might throw in one or two fun duos or quads for extra color for days I want to spice things up

If I took makeup (I usually do not when I travel), and I could only take one palette, I would either bring my Em Day Life (24 shadows, 4 blushes and 8 lippies in one palette) or my Pantone Color of the Year palette (25 colors, I think). That way, I am covered with shades. They are both large, so I would opt for either Lancome Taupe Craze, Too Faced Glamour to Go or LORAC Ooh La Lace if I needed something smaller.

I use the little metal stickers that come with the Z-Palettes and stick them on the back of each MAC pot. I also put a label on them because putting the metal sticker on covers the names, so I just put write them on a small round label to stick to the bottom. They sell the metal stickers separately too (http://zpalette.com/makeup-z-palette/mac-cosmetics-round-metal-stickers.html)

We have only been there a few times since having kids. I was hoping to head down there this summer, but we have not finalized any plans yet. Have fun!

On my recent trip to Nashville I took: Naked Electric Naked Basics Naked Ammo TF Summer 2013 It was hard to narrow it down to those 4! In my mind, those were perfect for a warm weather trip. For my fall trip to TX, I'll prolly take more neutrals. A UD Naked and/or TF Choccy.

I'm an hour from Nashville! What all did you do down here? It's where this year's African Violet Society's National convention was held this year! It's in a new city every year. I didn't get to see a lot of the city, but I had a blast!!

I have travelled a fair amount and I always seem to grab my naked palette. If i need to pack a few single shadows I will, if I have a certain look planned. But I have found I keep my makeup fairly simple on holiday so the Naked Palette is more than enough. I do however have a problem with taking only one or two blushes. I was away for 2 weeks last month and I took 5 blushes haha.. but just the naked palette and two single BB shadows.
