I had to call the Rouge line today to complain because this is just another way Sephora is screwing Canadians!
I love the Dior Nail glow and its $25CAN. With tax and duties, its usually $29.74. I know this because I have ordered 3 in the past few months so I can leave on at work, one at home and at the boyfriend's.
Anyways, I let a friend try it and she loved it so I placed an order for her and it came up to $30.53. The price with taxes and duties was correct at the page where I enter the cc info but it changed to the higher price after I confirmed my order. I wasn't happy because I knew right away it was wrong.
When I called the Rouge line to complain, she tried to fluff it off and said its the correct price and that its a third party and she can't do anything.
I insisted and gave her my previous 3 order numbers to verify that the price was wrong and she got back to me and said to the effect that the price is right according to her system and that it seems that the only differences in the order were the samples and deluxe samples I got. I agreed that that was correct and pointed out that I shouldn't be getting charged duties on samples and she basically wouldn't do anything until I spoke more firmly about how that is wrong. She put me on hold and came back and said that as a courtesy, they can do a one time price adjustment on what was charged but that the next time this happens, they can't do anything.
That was the stupidest thing i have ever heard. I said, if I bought from a physical store, i'm not going to be charged different prices each time and she just stuck to the same rhetoric that Sehora's systems are correct and charging the correct price. I replied that I know for a fact, that Sephora was overcharging Canadians taxes for years and that this could also be a system error. But nope, Sephora won't take responsibility. AND, she didn't offer to fix the taxes that I was overcharged since September, even though I have spent thousands there since becoming Rouge in September of last year and just requalified until Dec 2015 yesterday.
The customer service has been getting worse and worse. I'm going to write and email Sephora and see if they will take this seriously or if they will just fluff it off like they usually do for Canadians.
Do you think I should post on BT and see if they even respond?
Sorry for the ranting...I'm just fed up.
