hey ladies! I bought a pack color eye liner and want to test it out today. Do you suggest top or bottom lash line? And should I do a neutral eye, or baby pink? I've seen it both ways. Thanks!

I suggest top with neutral eye for your first time using it.

I suggest top with neutral eye for your first time using it. I agree. Teal/peacock looks lovely against neutral shades--that's how I wear it. A subtle pink may also work well, but think muted and matte/satin, not cotton-candy or lollipop. Also, sticking with neutral shadows as the base keeps the eyes from looking over-the-top.

During the summer I will wear deep end from Ocho Loco 2 eyeliner set. I wanted to wear it yesterday but was unable to find it. Today I found it all over my make up bag. The cover came off so I had to clean most of my makeup. I got the idea when I saw it featured in a Spring edition of Style Watch.

I have to wear a suit everyday and the most daring I get is navy.

I wear a uniform to work. I guess as long as my makeup is not neon colored I will not be admonished. I wear deep end on my lower lash line slightly smudged. When I line the lower lash line I will only wear mascara on my upper lid.

mrsbaine, did you try just a thin line of this color of eyeliner on the top lid, with neutral shadow underneath? Make sure the line is as thin as can be. I've found that colors like peacock can really open the eyes. Thin line is more subtle.

Great to hear mrsbaine! I'm still experimenting myself. Last week I went into Sephora with a neutral eye already on, as well as some dark brown eyeliner. I was in a mood to try something different so I took UD 24/7 eye pencil in Goldmine and used their sharpener to get a fresh/new point and then applied a thin line of Goldmine above the brown line I had drawn at home. It really opened my eyes. I couldn't believe the transformation. It didn't look clownish or weird either. I showed one SA there and she really liked the look too. The store was out of this color so I ordered it online when I got home. I just got it today. I'm going to try it alone (w/o the brown line) but I suspect this may look better doubled up like I did in store. I also think Mainline is a great color in UD line (if you like that line of pencil). This works alone with neutral eye while still being conservative.

Love teal liner!! With pink & peach: With neutrals: That looks really pretty on you! Especially with the pink. I'll give it a whirl this weekend. I think I can make it work.
