I have the straightest, finest, limpest, thinnest hair on the planet and it is just getting worse as I get older. I've had my thyroid checked, take Biotin, use protective spray when blow drying or using a curling iron, got my hair cut shorter with some layers, etc. and it doesn't make any difference.
I can get it to just barely bend using a curling iron but must spray hair spray immediately or else the "curl" disappears in seconds. We have extremely humid weather in NE Ohio for several months of the year and I am struggling to find a hair spray that holds, adds some (any!) volume, without making my hair look "crispy" and doesn't cost a small fortune.
Any suggestions?

I'm currently trying the Beyond the Zone vamped up dry texture hairspray. It's meant for limp hair, to add volume, and doubles as a dry shampoo. www.sallybeauty.com/vamped-up-texture/SBS-140255,default,pd.html#prefn1=brand&prefv1=BTZ&start=37&sz=12&brandLandingPage=true

Thanks Jane. I need to stop at Sally's and take a look. At Marshalls last week I bought Biosilk Firm Hold Finishing Spray and while it does nothing for volume it seems to hold pretty well without making my hair look over-sprayed or "crispy".

Elnett is my favorite hairspray. It's at Target and Ulta for about $14.
