Some ladies requested to see my organization of my makeup/vanity. I've had this dresser for years and in the past only my everyday makeup, body cream, sunscreen, tweezers and other nicknacks would be on top. I also had a lace doilie which was getting stained with my makeup, so I removed it! lol I stored my everyday makeup in this cute Hershey's Kisses container that I got in elementary school from my mom! (It's in the shape of lips.) Very practical and looks so cute! I made my makeup brush holder from articles from Dollarama (candle holder and vase fillers). On one container I wanted a sticker with a "C" (the first letter of my name). I hunted high and low for a letter sticker after I saw it on Pinterest. Wal-Mart ended up having one but it was sparkley. Oh well, beggers can't be choosers! XD The other holder has an apple sticker which I got when I got my iPod years ago! lmao An bought this table mirror from Homesense. (I saw many ladies on BT and YouTube seem to have table mirror so I figured I would get one and add it to my dresser/vanity. These lipstick holders I also got them from Dollarama as well. ($2 each) Each container holds 9 lippies and I own 4. (Only 3 are on display.)

Oh those lipstick holders are awesome! I haven't found any cheap yet though. So I just have them lying down in a small acrylic tray I can rummage through lol.

These acrylic holders (for makeup removers) got 'em from Homesense in bathroom section. The square one is 2 levels. I keep Q-tips on the bottom and bigger cotton pads on top. In the round one I keep my smaller cotton pads. I also keep one of my Guerlain Meteorites on display. The other round thing is a rose scented body powder which was my mom's years ago (before I was even born). She never used it and gave it to me to play with when I was younger. I always kept it displayed on my dresser even when I wasn't into makeup. I think it looks cute! Now this is the cupboard that houses my makeup. This dresser has two of these cupboards and three drawers. This cupboard used to store my home clothes (sweats, old jeans and extra socks). They have all been relocated to the other cupboard which is for my PJs and now the other things lol. That one is getting crowded so I need to find more space for those things! In the drawers I keep my bras, underwear and socks. Aha! Here's the makeup! (I wish we could add more pictures per post...grrrrrrrrr)

Nice! I remembered this AM that I have a small table in my basement. I mentioned to my hubby before I left how nice it would be to use that table in the spare room for storage. Maybe I'll ping him to see if he can start that up. Once that table gets up there, I have a makeup room!
Edit- I just texted him, and he said "I'll hook it up later". Holy shit I can't be happier! I'M GETTING A MAKEUP ROOM!

The lippies that don't fit in that lipstick holder are stored in this old ferraro roche box. I keep my samples in these baskets that I picked up from Dollarama. Blue one houses makeup samples and the green one is for skincare. My deluxe samples are kept in a Sephora makeup bag that we all got during Christmas (the holly jolly ones I believe, it's a black one.) And the majority of my makeup lives in the Caboodle traincase that I got for Christmas.

Last post, I promise! I still have more makeup, mainly backups or things with bulky packaging which will not fit in the traincase. I keep these in a box that I got with my YSL perfume a couple of years ago. As for my perfumes, (forgot to take a pic of them...) they sit in another box like this one but in my closet. I like to keep my perfumes away from direct sunlight as to preserve them longer. That's it! Hope everyone enjoyed looking at them! :3

eriles check out dollar stores or (i don't know if you're Canadian or not) Winners, Homesense, Target (if American) TJ Maxx, Homegoods. Or just check out eBay. I saw one (after I bought mine from dollarstore) that holds 24 lipsticks for under $5 and free shipping.

I am U.S.! I went to Daiso and found some small containers good for my eyeshadow singles, and a container for q tips. I checked out TJ Maxx and Ross yesterday and TJ Maxx had some rather pricey cosmetic containers. They were like $15 or so.
Good to know about ebay! I was looking on Amazon and wasn't seeing anything too appealing!

The only thing that bugs me is how slow the shipping is, and I think you pay around $9 for it. I got drawers and lipstick holders from them a while back clpds1989, your space is so neat! I need a little vanity mirror that lights up, because my table is at an angle that doesn't get any natural light. Does yours light up?

mk89 No my mirror doesn't light up, it's just a regular one. I'm fine with that. Where my dresser is located I don't have an electrical outlet so it's for the best! XD

I'm getting the makeup room (aka my happy place) all organized. I'm like a kid in a candy store. I'm waiting for my hubby to come hang these curtains I got. I got a couple of acrylic organizers today from Home Goods and a box thing with 6 drawers from TJ Max. Turns out, I have tons of space now!!! I can buy MORE! I'll post picks when this is all done.
