Wondering if people would be willing to share their TOP makeup brands for different makeup and why.
EYES Primer: Urban Decay Shadows: Urban Decay, Stila and MAC for their variety of colors, pigment, blendability, and longevity Liners: Urban Decay for the variety in colors, smoothness of application, and that it stays put all day Mascara: Still looking for good ones, but Too Faced Better than Sex and Guerlain Maxi Lash give me volume AND length
FACE Blushes: Tarte, NARS and Tom Ford for colors, quality of transfer to my cheeks, and longevity Highlighters: Kevyn Aucoin Candelight, NARS Copacabana (liquid), Becca Opal liquid and powder - all subtle but effective Bronzers: Too Faced (I think that's the only brand I have) Primer: Urban Decay Foundation: Still seeking the perfect one, like medium to full coverage that lasts. Urban Decay cream to powder and Laura Mercier Silk Creme are probably my favorites Finishing Powder: Urban Decay is my favorite, but I don't use it much
LIPS Lipsticks: Too Faced and Tom Ford for how they last and don't dry out my lips
BROWS Anastasia Dipbrow, but I rarely use it.

EYES Primer: Urban Decay Shadows: UD is my go to brand, but I also love Clarins eye palettes as well. Liners: UD-for color variety and lasting power, Givenchy Liner Couture- easy to use for a fine line or thick line and pretty black, Mascara: Lancome Hypnose and UD Perversion! I get length, volume and curl! Hypnose has been my go to for awhile!
FACE Blushes: Benefit Dallas and Rockateur. Lasts long, and Dallas has been my go-to since college. Highlighters: Kevyn Aucoin Candelight,Becca Opal in liquid form (this and the Candlelight powder are subtle),Becca Rose Gold (gives a more bronze golden glow) Bronzers: Too Faced Chocolate Soleil (love the matte finish), Givenchy Terre Exotique (subtle but beautiful), Giorgio Armani Sun Fabric #400 (subtle and pretty as well!), Clarins Splendours bronzer (huge LE bronzer from last summer, also awesome but more orange in tone) Primer: Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch (smooths out all imperfections!) /Clarins Instant Light Radiance Boosting Base (more hydrating and brightening, helps cancel redness) Foundation: Givenchy Teint Couture (long wear) or photo'perfexion (very creamy and not as drying) or Guerlain Terracotta Joli Teint (gives me a natural dewy glow and lasts all day) Finishing Powder: Givenchy Le Poudre Premier Finishing Powder (finely milled and blurs all imperfections- amazing!)
LIPS Lipsticks: UD, Too Faced, Givenchy, Armani and Bite. I like to rotate. It just depends what catches my eye but love their formulas. Gloss: Buxom (love the tingle), Yes to Coconuts Cooling Lip Oil (my new go to, very hydrating and cooling)
BROWS Anastasia- Dipbrow (more intense looking) and Brow Whiz (easy and pretty much impossible to screw up applying) Coastal Scents- I use some of their cheap eyeshadow in my brow color, works great and lasts all day

fun topic! Eyes: - primer: too a Faced Shadow Insurance: I have no creasing, it goes on easy and helps my shadows last literally 18 hours.m - eye shadow: this one is tough. I want to say Tom a Ford, but I only have 1 quad. I think it's really YSL. The colors are nicely pigmented, refined and sophisticated. - eye liner: YSL pencil. It's the best. Perfect for lasting all day. - Mascara: Lancôme hands down. YSL is up there, but I love my Lancôme Hypnose doll lashes. - brows: I love ABH. The pigmentation is awesome.
Foundation: - YSL touché éclat: love the finish and it lasts all day. - primer: Napolian Perdis auto pilot: the best primer for peopled with dry skin. I love it.
Highlighter/contour: - highlighter: Chanel 2014 LE. It's so pretty on and in the pan. I don't use it everyday but I live it. For an everyday one, the Laura Mercier baked highlighter has grown on me. Contour: Becca sculpting perfector: it's cream and it's easy to work with
Blush: Tom Ford- perfect formula, great color. Completely worth $56.
Bronzer Guerlain- it's the perfect color with a nice satin finish. It isn't too cool tone.
Finishing powder: hourglass radiant light- love the color on my skin. It's perfect.
Lipstick: Tom Ford. It's so hydrating

EYES Primer: Urban Decay--lasts the longest Shadows: Urban Decay--the variety of neutral colors with different finishes, they stay well too; Bobbi Brown Cream Shadow Sticks--perfect look in just a few quick swipes Liners: Stila liquid--easiest to use Mascara: Bobbi Brown Extreme Party--doesn't cause an allergic reaction in me by some miracle and adds a lot of volume; Benefit Bad Gal--least irritating to my eyes; Almay Get Up and Grow--great drug store alternative for a non-irritating mascara
FACE Blushes: Dior--subtle and blendable Highlighters: The Balm Mary Lou Manizer--perfect subtle shimmer, easy to apply, light enough for my skin tone Bronzers: I cannot find one I like! I do like the Em Cosmetics highlight/contour stick as it is the only one I've found that doesn't go orange on me. Primer: I cannot find any that seem to do anything for me. Foundation: Ellis Faas Skin Vein--so easy to apply, looks very natural; Dolce & Gabbana Pefect Luminous Foundation--hides all flaws and gives perfect skin Finishing Powder: Bobbi Brown--it's actually a powder foundation but I use it as finishing powder and it doesn't cake at all, great color match for me Concealer: Hourglass Hidden--thick, opaque formula covers everything and is so easy to apply with the stick applicator, I only wish they had a lighter color
LIPS Lip gloss: YSL--sparkles! Also glossy stain, most amazing product ever! Lipsticks: No particular formula sticks out to me. I have plenty I like but none that are wow.
BROWS Bobbi Brown Brow and Hair Touch up Gel--super easy to use, great color match
SKINCARE Make-up remover: Caudelae Cleansing Milk--non-irritating and pulls everything off Cleanser: Jan Marini Bioglycolic--gentle cleanser that helps with mild acne on dry skin without overdrying Moisturizer: Jan Marini Face Transformation Cream--miracle product, helps with my dryness and acne and makes my skin so soft Eye cream: Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Cream--non-irritating, very moisturizing, feels good and creamy when applied

EYES Primer: NARS Shadows: Lancome. Never creases. Pigmented. Smooth. Slight shimmer without glitter (most colors, anyway) Liners: Marc Jacobs Highliner. Smooth. Applies easily. Lasts a long time. Mascara: Lancome Defincils. I just prefer the overall look of my lashes with this versus any other mascara. Clumps stink, and this defines and separates nicely.
FACE Blushes: Laura Geller Baked- They last the longest on my skin. Blush falls right off of me for some reason Highlighters: Benefit Watt's Up or Laura Mercier powder. Sometimes I prefer the creamy Watt's Up and other times I prefer the powder. Bronzers: Tarte Park Avenue Princess. I am still into the slight shimmer. When I want a matte, I find myself reaching for Laguna by NARS most often. Primer: Benefit That Gal or Lancome La Base. Depends on what I am going for. That Gal gives a subtle pink glow whereas La Base feels so silky. Foundation: Lancome Renergie, although I am not so loyal to this that I wouldn't switch. It works for now. Finishing Powder: Guerlain Meteorites when I want a glow or Hourglass Dim Light when I want something more subtle.
LIPS Lipsticks: Lipstick Queen for lipstick or Lancome Lip Lover for gloss
BROWS It Cosmetics brow pencil with Anastasia Beverly Hills clear brow gel. (Blend like crazy for a natural look).

EYES Shadows: Guerlain Quads, Urban Decay, Make Up Forever and MAC Liners: Tarte, Make Up Forever Mascara: Guerlain Maxi Lash
FACE Blushes: I don't really use blush. But I'm between Lovejoy from Mac and Peach Boy from Guerlain. I might go with Peach Boy since I'm a bit scared to use Lovejoy since I heard it can break you out. Bronzers: Guerlain Foundation: Guerlain, Lingerie de Peau kinda improved my skin...
LIPS Lipsticks: Guerlain Rouge G, mostly the scent. Lip Gloss: Fresh's Sugar Shine Lip Treatment- kinda helps prime on and helps lipsticks grip on easily. Also makes any lip stick glossier on contact, which made Mystical even better. Lip primer category? Lip Balm: Givenchy Hydra Sparkling Magic Lip & Cheek Balm- perfect natural lips, perfect moisturizing. Second goes to Tarte's Lipsurgence in Energy.
NAILS Polish: OPI- doesn't chip as fast and Illamasqua, only good with no base or top. "Soft" Gel: Shellac- doesn't chip as fast when I swim. Beats out CalGel, a hard gel that is supposed to be tougher.
FRAGRANCE Don't get me wrong, I love Jo Malone's English Pear and Freesia, but the staying power isn't there.
SKINCARE Cleanser: Philosophy Purity Made Simple... I almost wrote smile. Exfoliant: Clinique Exfoliating scrub Mask: GlamGlow Moisturizer: Philosophy Take a Deep Breath SPF: Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 30+. Remover: Koh Gen Do Cleansing Water- works also when I have to clean out excess scrub residue or stubborn GlamGlow mask.
I swear to God if you look at my make-up stash, it's practically all Guerlain items, hence that's why it's dominated by one brand. Plus I'm still rebuilding my make-up collection. I had someone go through my bags and steal my Mac LE items... most of my stuff was Mac back then in 2011.
