FYI ... I used my coupon in store last week and was able to use the code again today online. I can never seem to pull up my e-mail on my phone when I'm in the store, so I had printed out the e-mail for them to scan. When I saw the new Kat Von D palette this morning, I thought "If only I hadn't already used my $25.00 off, I wouldn't feel so bad ordering it." Gave it a try, and it went through.
I'm not sure if it will work for anyone else, but wanted to let y'all know

I'm not sure if it will work for anyone else, but wanted to let y'all know Awesome. Were you by chance shopping in a SiJCP? I just read on reddit that people were able to double-dip with the coupon by shopping in JCPenney and ordering online because the JC Penney code is a different code from the giftcard. I'm about to get that new Kat Von D palette then!

My JCP won't scan the different code, they type in the gift card code you use online, which is the same code the free standing sephora stores use. So... it didn't work for me

I'm in Canada ... so no JCP. And I was rung through on one of the mobile check-outs ... where they scan everything with a phone.

Hm, well I am in the U.S. I was able to order online using the gift card. I guess here there is a separate code for JCPenney to use so I was able to print my e-mail and they used the different code and it worked. So I was able to double-dip on the discount.

MOST stores do not let you reuse coupons its a one time only use thing this applies to just about every coupon because the number on the coupon they can track that thats how they know that you already used it.I have only seen people double dip coupons on shows like extreme couponing and those people live in the southern states where thats permitted.

Sorry, no. Most of the double-dipping you see on extreme couponing shows are basic-barcode coupons that are not unique in any way (which is why stores won't take photo copies of coupons and computer-printed coupons are not accepted at all stores - it can be easy to duplicate those.) Sephora is generating one-time use codes, much like a lot of web-only retailers do for sales. You can tie pretty much any check-out process to an individual account and bar it from using the same code again. Sephora is doubling-up - it's a one-time use code that can only be used once per account. This means that if I'm not going to use my coupon, I can give it to a friend and they can use it on their BI account. Later, if I change my mind I can get a different code from another friend but I can't use that code again (spent) and my friend can't use their own code or another code (already used on this account.) Compared to many beauty retailers, Sephora is stingy with the sales, discounts, and freebies. The things they hold on to as "point perks" are often seen in other stores as straight gift-with-purchase. They don't cost Sephora anything, the beauty company providing them does so as a loyalty bonus for customers and we've seen Sephora do extremely shady things like last year's Black Friday sale where they sold a whole bunch of GWP items that were marked by the manufacturer "not for sale" as $10 "stocking stuffers." So I have no qualms about folks wanting to double-dip a lousy once a year coupon. (PS My "gift card" was empty when I received it - it had no initial value. I had to call in my order and the girl on the phone acted like I was being so inconvenient. There's a reason Nordstrom sees most of my beauty money these days.)

I live in California they dont allow you to reuse the same coupon twice for food or any items. Many states coupons say in fine print one time use only next to the expiration dates.I mean sure you could get away with it maybe once or twice but a lot of the time they scan them and know if you already used it perhaps the person behind the counter didnt care that day its the holidays it happens they probably just wanted to be left alone lol.Oh no I dont care if people reuse coupons at all lol. I know sephora is a brat about their discounts and sales / freebies and promo code free items and their freebies from the beauty rewards are free for a reason no one wants them they are cheap .I had a woman on the sephora forum actually try and shame me because she said oh your a beauty rewards member and you only have this amount of points because their are different levels I guess for free crap items no one wants and I said I never use my beauty rewards points because I dont even want the free stuff their giving away lol I guess she tried to say I didnt have any money but little did she know I dont buy crappy makeup even if its free I dont want it lol . Nordstroms had a great sale this year I bought clothes there not makeup though.
