so, I was intrigued by Jo Malone after reading posts from LariTheLoud. I went to Nordie's today and smelled a couple. I ended up buying Peony and Blush Suede because it doesn't smell like my Normal florals (florabontanica, gucci flora in gardenia and whatever the blue one is). I also liked English pear and freesia. I'm smelling my hand and I'm wondering if the one I bought is a bit... Mature for me. Anyone tested these? What's your fav's? I like floral, but I want a different flora then the Gucci and Balenciaga. Any suggestions?

English Pear and Freesia layered with Peony and Blush Suede is ssssoooooooooo divine. I love the limited edition Silk Blossom cologne, but some ladies have trouble making it last on their skin. I wore it alone yesterday and it lasted from 10:30am til 8:00pm... though it was faded by 8pm!
Red Roses, if you are a fan of extremely pure rose scents, is amazing, like you have your nose buried in a rose in full bloom. But you have to really love *ROSE.* I personally love it, and would love to buy it someday. Orange Blossom is one of my favorites and lasts longer on me than any other Jo Malones I've tried, but I like it best layered with Blackberry and Bay, as it is a simple and pure fragrance on its own. French Lime Blossom is a bit more dimensional, but equally as lovely. You might like White Jasmine and Mint, but it is a lighter and fresher fragrance, and it is a bit on the sweeter side than Peony and Blush Suede.
Wild Bluebell is also one to consider, but it is a very sweet bluebell scent. I don't know how you would feel about that!

ok... So I look in my bag, and there are two samples- the peony one I bought... And English pear! I sprayed it on and really love it! I went to their website and I see at the bottom that you can layer for a different smell. So I play around with the drop downs and the combination that comes back is the English pear and peony, so I'm keeping the peony and I ordered the English pear for store pick up tomorrow. I feel like this is going to be a new addiction. I have an atomizer. I may mix them in there and see how that works. Thank you! I would have never stopped and tried these unless I read your posts.

Wild Bluebell is a floral I highly recommend, it's got this really amazing water note that really makes it stand out. I purchased that and Orange Blossom yesterday, which is a very lovely floral citrus. It layers nicely and stands on its own as well. Red Roses is outstanding as others have mentioned, although I do get a bit of peony, either way it's a very true to life floral, much like sticking one's nose in a rose. I really like Peony and Blush Suede too! Vanilla and Anise is a good layerable scent, it adds a nice warmth and subtle spice to most anything. Verbena de Provenance is a straight up citrus, I like this for when I'm outdoors all day as the citrus keeps bugs away! It's also nice to brighten up heavier scents, but sadly it's discontinued. I only briefly sniffed Silk Blossom, so I can't offer much insight there. It's on its way to me with Intense Velvet Rose and Oud. London Rain Wisteria and Violet is beautiful, very clean, easy to wear. Intense Rose Water and Vanilla is incredibly sweet, think Replica Fun Fair Evening minus the black licorice. The Aquage de Lemon or whatever it is is for my car, it's a light watery citrus. I haul recycling two hours for work once a week, and I'm hoping this will help the truck not smell like hot stale beer. Hopefully this helps! Attachments:

That's quite a collection stacyann07!I got Bluebell as a sample when I went and picked up English Pear. I do like that one! I'm also getting a sample from Bergdoff; it was offered with my recent purchase. I really do like it! I'm really liking the brand! Since I need to go on a makeup buying hiatus, I may turn to fragrance as my new vice.

I'm planning on getting a few of them in the 3.4 oz size when I'm finally done with my silly work situation. I'm a big fan of her work, I really want to look into her Jo Loves line, but no one on the US stocks it yet and shipping is over $20!

Velvet Rose and Oud and Silk Blossom are here!! Silk Blossom is nice and light, an easy summer fragrance. Velvet Rose is sexy, sophisticated, but pairs with red roses to make a super gorgeous day time. I kinda love them!

I had to drop by here to say that today I called the closest Nordie's to me and the Jo Malone counter manager is sending me a bunch of samples! I had a list that I developed after reading this post and others, plus blogs, and she was so sweet and accommodating. She's sending them out within a couple days. I should receive them in time to play with them before my next trip to Nordie's. (It's about a 45 minute drive, so I don't go often.) I can't wait. I know I'm already getting the Pear/Peony and the Blackberry. If I end up deciding to get quite a few, I'll likely make my visit be one of my chosen triple-point days. LOL

Is anyone thinking about checking out Jo Malone's new cologne intense, Tuberose Angelica? I am curious, but Jo Malone doesn't send out samples of their Cologne Intense. I suppose we can all wait until Nordie's has testers out!

Just a quick update. I received about 10 samples from Nordie's and I already had 3 that I like. I've been trying one of them each day on each wrist and then one layering further up the arm. I wish I were more scientific than that. LOL. So far, I still like English Pear & Freesia, Peony & Blush Suede, and Blackberry & Bay. Of the new ones, I'm not impressed by Wild Bluebell--the staying power isn't that great (I'm not into adding fragrance during the day, so prefer ones that last). I disliked Nutmeg & Ginger. 154 is good alone and would make a good winter fragrance. (So may delay getting that one.) Lime Basil & Mandarin is interesting--I want to try it again layered; same with Vetyver. I really like what I sprayed on today: Blue Agava & Cacao on left wrist and Vanilla & Anise on right. I layered the Blue Agava with the Vetyver and that's an interesting combo. Vanilla & Anise is a nice summery fragrance to me w/o either spice being too obvious. I'm planning to layer more this week!

Warning that I posted this on BT haul thread so if this seems like a dupe, it is. This is for those who don't go over there. I went shopping yesterday to Nordstrom's. This is my first buy of Jo Malone. As mentioned in earlier posts, I had gotten a few samples about a month ago and then called a couple weeks ago and had about a dozen more sent. (I promised the Nordstrom's gal that I would be making a big buy this weekend.) Before yesterday's buy, I had been testing out various JM fragrances on each arm and then experimenting with some layering. I didn't have enough time to really try everything in all the different combinations but there were several fragrances that I was immediately taken with. When I visited the Nordstrom's JM counter yesterday morning, I gave the SA my list of fragrances I wanted to buy plus ones I wanted samples of, plus I sprayed myself with a bunch of others I wanted to try. While I was gone shopping around, this SA made me a bunch of samples of not only the colognes but also the lotions. She also gave me some bath oil and a small extra bottle of one of the fragrances I bought. The five fragrances I got in 1 oz size are: Blackberry & Bay, English Pear & Freesia, Vanilla & Anise, Blue Agava & Cacoa and Peony & Blush Suede. I didn't photograph all this when it was presented to me, but the flair and presentation with the box, black ribbon tied around it, black velour pouch bags for samples, etc. was just outstanding and refreshing. I felt like I was transported back in time in the pre-shopping-bag days when all merchants used to tie up boxes for the women who bought clothes.

I can actually finish them.

Everyone talks about Jo Malone. I need to sniff some.
The Blue Agava and cacao sounds good!
Is the wear time pretty good with the scents? Love my Dolce and Gabbana but some of them fade quickly.

Jo Malone is awesome. Dome wear better than others in my exp. I get full day wear time out of Peony and Seude mixed with English pear and freesia. I get pretty good wear out of a Silk blossom. I'm going to pick up the gift set from Nordstrom during the sale, and maybe 1 for my hubby.
